Dr. Brian M. Kabcenell, DMD
Board Certified. Boston University, specialty training at Montefiore. Taught prosthodontics for over 20 years.
A board-certified prosthodontist, a hospital-trained general dentist, and a prosthodontist who was a laboratory technician first. All three along the same corridor.
A mouth rarely needs a single discipline. Prosthodontics, general and restorative dentistry, sedation and children’s care sit in the same building here, so a difficult case gets discussed rather than referred away. Nothing is handed off to somebody who has never met you.
Dr. Kabcenell is a Board Certified Prosthodontist: a specialist certified in the reconstruction of defective teeth and the replacement of missing ones. He has been restoring mouths, including implant-supported restoration, for more than thirty-five years.
He received his DMD from Boston University and completed his specialty training at Montefiore Medical Center. He taught prosthodontics to post-doctoral students and residents at New York Hospital Queens and at Montefiore for more than twenty years, including a period as Assistant Director of the Division of Advanced Prosthodontics at Montefiore. He is a Fellow of the American College of Prosthodontists and of the Greater New York Academy of Prosthodontics, and a Diplomate of the American Board of Prosthodontics.
Dr. Kabcenell is a native of Westchester County and took a BA at Wesleyan University. Outside dentistry he gardens and cycles.
Dr. Kirchmann is a general dentist providing a full range of treatment for pediatric and adult patients, including restorative work, root canals, extractions and implants.
After his DDS from SUNY Buffalo he completed a two-year postgraduate general practice residency at UNC Chapel Hill, which included specialised training in the use of intravenous sedation. He is an Assistant Clinical Professor at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine and an Attending Dentist in the division of General Dentistry at Montefiore Medical Center, and a Fellow of the American Association of Hospital Dentists.
Dr. Kirchmann earned a BA from Queens College. He runs, travels, enjoys time in the city and spends it with his family.
Dr. Fuschetto received his Doctor of Dental Surgery and a certificate in Advanced Education in Prosthodontics from Stony Brook University School of Dental Medicine. Before he earned his dental degree he was a dental laboratory technician, fabricating porcelain veneers, crowns, bridges and dentures, which makes him unusual among prosthodontists: he has made the things he now prescribes.
He is interested in restoring oral function as much as appearance, and works to a high standard with current technique. Whether you need a cleaning, a filling or something considerably more complex, Dr. Fuschetto is qualified to handle it.
Dr. Praid has retired, after providing general dental care to adults and children here for more than forty-five years. A good many of our patients were his first.
Between them the three practising dentists hold board certification in prosthodontics, hospital residency training in intravenous sedation, and two current teaching appointments.
