Your First Visit at Rye Dental Associates in Rye, New York.

What happens the first time you come in.

Everything except an emergency starts the same way, and it takes a single appointment. You are told what the next one will cost before any of it begins.

We welcome all new patients. As a new patient you can expect to fill out a medical history form, which helps us attend to any special needs you have and, in doing so, better protect your health.

The appointment itself

  1. A medical history form, so we treat around whatever else you are being treated for
  2. A thorough examination of the whole mouth, not only the tooth that hurts
  3. Diagnostic X‑rays where they are needed, and an oral cancer screening
  4. A professional cleaning, and home care instructions worth following
  5. If more is needed: the treatment explained, and the time and fee in writing first

Before you arrive

You can fill in the medical history form at home and bring it with you, which saves a quarter of an hour in the waiting room. If you cannot find us, call the office and somebody will talk you in; the practice is a two-minute walk from the Rye Metro-North station and there is free parking at the door.

If more treatment is needed

Every effort is made to give you an appointment that suits you. Before treatment starts you are given the details of it and an estimate of both the time and the fees involved, in writing. Our staff will answer questions and provide more information whenever you want it.

Bring your insurance card, a list of any medication you take, and the name of your previous dentist if you would like records transferred.

Seventy years on Cedar Street, and still taking new patients.

Call the practice, or send a note and we will call you back the same working day. Saturday appointments, free parking, and the Metro‑North platform two minutes away.
